Online Material Guidelines

 

General Material Guidelines

Materials must be delivered via the material links provided in the order confirmation or by email to laakarikompassi@laakariliitto.fi at least three working days before the campaign start.

We do not accept third-party HTML tags. Image-based banners are distributed from our own ad server.

    • Animated gif, video, and HTML5 are not allowed
  • Provide the link/URL where the banner should lead
  • Organization-specific tags cannot be used in newsletters

Lääkäri.fi mobile app news feed

  • Banner size: 300 × 250 px (max. 100 kB)

  • The ad placement is always the Box placement after four news items
  • The banner appears in a carousel together with other advertisers

Video banner guidelines

  • Video size must match banner placement size:
  • Parade 980 x 400 ja 300 x 250
  • Giant box 600 x 250 px
  • Format: MP4
  • Duration: max 30 s
  • File size max 4 Mb
  • Provide click URL
  • Video may autoplay, but audio must be muted.
  • Fallback image: jpg or png, same size as the video, shown if video is not supported.
  • Video materials must be delivered by email to laakarikompassi@laakariliitto.fi, either as individual files or a zip package.

 

HTML5 banner guidelines

Deliver HTML5 banners via email to laakarikompassi@laakariliitto.fi. Bannerin tulee olla seuraavien ohjeiden mukainen:

  • HTML5 ads are lightweight HTML pages
  • Must include one index.html file
  • Related assets (CSS, JS, images) may be in referenced folders
  • Deliver all files as a single zip package
  • Use unique identifiers, classes, variables, and functions
  • Open click URLs in a new tab (_blank)
  • Ads are displayed inside an iframe. Click tracking must follow separate instructions.
  • File size = total size of all assets
  • Limit the number of loadable files
  • Audio must not autoplay
  • Add banner size meta tag in <head>:
    • <meta name="ad.size” content=”width=300,height=250”>

General recommendations:

  • Include CSS within the HTML file
  • Optimize initial load time
  • Optimize images and preload if needed
  • Avoid distracting animations and flickering
  • Avoid heavy animations and JS libraries

Click tracking (HTML5)

Simplified implementation: this is added to the <head> section of the HTML file as a JavaScript variable called clickTag, which contains the click-through URL as shown below. The URL value can be defined either as a static value or generated by a function.

Email Campaign Material Guidelines

Deliver completed HTML email via Neula or email to: laakarikompassi@laakariliitto.fi.
You can also order the production of an HTML file from Lääkärikompassi for an additional fee.

Notes:

  • HTML format required
  • Test across different email platforms and browsers
  • Follow email design best practices
  • Include text (images may not load automatically)

HTML file

Content:

  • Images: Format: .jpg, .gif, .png
    • Recommended width: 600 px
    • Ensure readability on desktop and mobile
  • Width: max 600 px
  • Length: Flexible but keep user engagement in mind

Delivery:

  • Upload HTML file to Neula
  • Add subject line
  • Test email by sending yourself a test email
  • Confirm by clicking “ready”

 

Native Articles
Instructions for submitting materials:

  • Article text
  • Images
    • Minimum width: 1440 px, .jpg
    • There is no limit to the number of images.
  • Company logo
    • Minimum width: 600 px, .jpg

 

Additional guidelines

Avoid Scandinavian characters in file names.
Test materials with most general browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari).
Please note late, broken, or unsuitable material may delay campaign start.

Campaign report

Campaign results are delivered to the customer after completion.
